UNISON's Higher Education Service Group Executive have recommended a 'no' vote in the LGPS ballot. Why? Because, among other things, working till '68 is too late'! Our pension used to have normal retirement age of 65 for us in Higher Ed. Now that will go up 68 ... and up and up and up. Check out the joint-union campaign just on this issue, which I think UNISON should throw their weight behind. You can email Dave (no not Prentis, Cameron), sign their petition etc. Even more importantly and urgently, do all you can to get these posters and leaflets into your branches, available now from the UNISON HE team: Vote no - posterLocal Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) ballotVote no - poster Vote no - leafletLocal Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) ballotVote no - leaflet |
